buy custom Laptops and Netbooks Review essay

buy custom Laptops and Netbooks Review essay Technology has allowed computer companies to design cheaper computers to cater for the low end of the market. The cheap computers come with limited capability as some of the technological advances present in expensive computers lack in them. Hp is a key player in the computer business and produces a wide variety of product to cover the segmented market. This review will cover one of their cheapest products in the market which is the hp 620. The product that retails for around 479.99$ is among the cheapest 15.5 computers on the market (Bentley, 2010). Alex Bentley reviews the product by giving its strengths and weaknesses in the market (Bentley, 2010). The product hp 620 may be a good product but not a perfect product. Contrary to the great product the hp 620 as per Alexs opinion, the laptop is experiencing some technical problems that need rectification. The issue of the bluetooth device needs to be rectified for the product to fit this description. The computers bluetooth device seems to be lacking from the device, this is a deviation from the review that states that the product has a bluetooth device. Connection to other devises is problematic and troubleshooting of the device does not help the issue. Although the laptop is compact in size, carrying the product around requires a bigger bag compared to 14 laptops. The computer is not relatively light as the 2.5 kilos may have an effect on young customers. The top has a sleek design which is the highlight of the computer; the back however, lacks the aesthetic value to attract the customer. The design of the audio jack is not appealing. The jacks have been installed facing the user, a point that Bentley supports regardless of the fact that the user interferes with the cables while using the computer. A better design would consider locating the audio jacks to the computers rear (Bentley, 2010). The review focuses on the key factors that the original review omits in the evaluation of the product. The opposing review may appeal to the other customers that own the product as they experience the problems highlighted in the opposing review. Buy custom Laptops and Netbooks Review essay

Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar Disorder Essay I have been diagnosed with what is called a Bipolar Disorder Essay. For all of my life I have been moody, so I guess when my I had mood swings my parents chalked it up to being a teenager. I always knew that it was more than just moodiness, but I had no idea what was wrong with me. When I am in a manic state I feel empowered and clever. In this phase, people find me very charismatic I also love myself and others and am very creative and productive. I also make unwise decisions during this phase like investing in one of my creative ideas which are not realistic. My manic phases can also jump to irratbility and imparience with others, when I amin this stage of my manic phase all that I can see is that everyone is an idiot, and the world is against me. This is when my charisma wears off and I end up alienating people. Luckily, I have some friends and family that stick with me no matter what I do to hurt them. Eventually this manic stage wearsoff and I crash into a deep depression. I feel remorse and sadness for the harm that I have caused those around me. I spend alot of my depressed state apologizing to people for the harm I have inflicted on them. I try to clean up my mess. I also can not sleep during this phase so I force myself to do the everyday things such as cleaning the house, showering, as well as reading books and doing anything I can to keep my mind occupied. If I am not busy during this time my mind fills with ideas of my suicide. I have written my final intructions and apologies so many times I cant even begin to count them. I know every method of suicide possible, its a wonder that i am still alive. Fortunately one of my close firends found one of my suicide notes and told my family and close friends. They talked me into finding help I eventually checked myself into a psychiatric facility because I did not want to go to my home alone. After 4 hours of filling out insurance papers and talking to people I eventually saw a doctor at this point I panicked and ignored their advice. I had never checked myself into a facility like this because I was afraid if everyone saw how crazy I am I would never get out. I have now realized that the facilities help and do not harm. The doctors put me on medications for a while to tes the waters. The firts was Lithum, a drug that naturally occurs it is a mood stabilizer which helps control my mood swings. They also suggested stronger drugs such as depakote, depacine, depakene and epilim these are all derivatives of a substance called valproic acids these are called anti convulsants they help me stay calm. The doctors have given me a self medication regien that will help me control my moods. They had me change my eating habits. Rather then having my usual samll breakfast, medium lunch and large dinner they had me eat three meals of equal size and on a certain schedule. They said eating a larger meal later on in the day can make my bipolar disorder harder to treat. They also said it is imperative to have a set sleeping schedule. Going to bed at the same time everyday and waking up at the same time. they say lack of sleep can trigger mania. Along with a set eating and sleeping schedule the doctors have me make a mood chart to help illistrate which medications are working. it is also important in helping me find my triggers such as stress, foods, people, etc. I alo have had to learn how to manage I am also seeing a therapist who listens to me and helps me manage my disorder. .

Comparative genomics using myosin heavy chain gene of 3 related Essay

Comparative genomics using myosin heavy chain gene of 3 related species human, rat, rabbit and 3 unrelated human, fish, chicken just 3000 word introduction only - Essay Example The encoding of genes that isoforms Myosin Heavy Chains have been developed according to their transcriptional orientations and linear order within the set kb of 350 in human, rat, and rabbit. From the maps it is noted that transcriptional orientation, relative intragenic distances, and order of the genes are conserved between the species. Unlike other gene families that are clustered, the order does not portray the temporal patterns of those genes. Conversely, the gene organization, conservation from the divergence of the genes shows that the organization of the genes can be important for their function and regulation. Myosin Heavy Chains converts chemical energy from the hydrolysis of ATP to form a mechanical force that moves the motile processes like cytokines, cellular locomotion, and vesicular transport in eukaryotic cells. Myosin Heavy Chains are subdivided into class comprising of 9 to 11 classes. The conventional Myosin Heavy Chains include the sarcomere Myosin Heavy Chains that associates itself to form a function enzymatically and filaments in promoting contraction in striated muscles. Muscle myosin consists of double Myosin Heavy Chains and two associated dissimilar myosin light chains pairs. The seven Myosin Heavy Chains isoforms that dominate the mammalian skeletal muscles are 2 developmental isoforms, Myosin Heavy Chains embryonic and Myosin Heavy Chains perinatal; 3 adult skeletal muscles, Myosin Heavy Chains-Ha, Myosin Heavy Chains-IIb, Myosin Heavy Chains-IIx/d, and Myosin Heavy Chains-ß/slow which is outlined in the cardiac muscles. The Myosin Heavy Chains isoforms are regulate d differently in response to diverting stimuli that include mechanical, physiological, hormonal, and other signals. The activity of ATPase conferred by the Myosin Heavy Chains in a muscle correlated the contraction speed, thus Myosin Heavy Chains are the

Deconstruction Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

Deconstruction - Essay Example Allan Poe was born in in 1809, in Boston. His father was called David Poe while the mother was Elizabeth Arnold Hopkins. He lost his parents before he was three, and he had to move to Virginia to live with a wealthy tradesman called John Allan. John took Poe as one of his sons. Poe went to private school and conflicts occurred between him and his guardians when he decided to pursue literary works. He attended university of Virginia, but his dropped after the first year. He had gambling debts and his guardians refused to settle the debts. He joined the army and became sergeant major. He later quit the army. He wrote many literary works. He wrote many poems when he was in West point. His life became miserable when he became a heavy drinker and smoker. He went through many problems in his live that helped him write many poems. His nature of being a heavy drinker is even realized in â€Å"The Cask of Amontillado†. His literary talent would not have been that interesting if were no t the way his behavior and character influenced his writing. His love for alcohol helped him incorporating the abuse of alcohol in his work. A clear evidenced in â€Å"The Cask of Amontillado†, where he used Fortunato show the effects of heavy drinking in the society. The names that have been used in Poe’s work have some hidden meaning. ... The name sherry could be used to mean a titular amontillado. Therefore, in Italian, it represents a Montilla wine. Therefore, there is a â€Å"relationship between the way amontillado is produced and the way Montresor is using Fortunato† (Lewis, 179). Theory of deconstruction is further illustrated trough names used on the Poe’s work and some activities that are taking place. Meanings of the names that are used are related to the activities that take place in this literary work. One of the related activities includes the way Montresor is treating Fortunato and the process that is involved during the production of Montilla wine. â€Å"Montilla wine is manufactured by allowing yeast to grow in a pipe. This yeast can only grow under certain conditions. These conditions include leaving two spaces open on the cask that is used. The wine should be protected from oxygen in order to allow fermentation to take place. If oxygen is allowed to have contact with the yeast, the wine will not be produced with the required standards. This entire process should result in production of sweet wine† (Lewis, 181). This process of manufacturing mantilla wine is directly related to the process that Montresor uses in revenging on Fortunato. Montresor views Fortunato as his sweet pretender who has been induced by alcohol. Montresor’s behavior seems to be sweet to Fortunato. This is because his behavior has been induced with alcohol and he not able to realize Montresor’s intention. Montresor enjoys the alcohol effect on Fortunato since he knows he (Montresor) is going to achieve his goal. The alcohol content in Fortunato’s body prevents him from refining himself. Another contradiction in the story comes out when the

Ethics Essay Example for Free

Ethics Essay Businesses are concerned with their company image, breaking of the laws in work related duties and any doing that will involve a law suit against the company. This is mainly their reputation and restoring it will involve a lot of money. To avoid all of this, they adapt a moral behavior in knowing what is right and wrong for the company. Therefore ethics are derived from the moral obligations, profit maximization and in following the laws set. In human ethics, an individual is expected to prevent harm, be fair and just, respect the opinion of others, have a heart for others, to be honest and wiling to comply with the law (Pojman, 2004). In professionalism, there is need for objectivity and impartiality, avoidance of conflict of interest, confidentiality of information, duty of care respected, integrity and full disclosure of information. History of utilitarianism A proposition on utilitarianism lie with Hume but its formulation and understanding credit is received by Bentham. It was incorporated during the 18th century. It was intended to view the principle of utility and the motivation of human beings. They found out that happiness and pain were humans’ utility and that what generates more happiness to many people is the ultimate right. However, having a large number being happy was difficult thus they settled for principle of happiness to represent utilitarianism. Since then, it has been an influence to economics and used to support different political moves. Introduction Utilitarianism is a principle of moral ethics. It supports that a moral right action in a situation is the one that produces more advantages than disadvantages (Buckle, 2007). Many individuals use this type of ethics in daily decisions as it brings more benefits even if lies or manipulation of others were used. It is easily aid sin decision making process. The required courses of actions are identified then their advantages and disadvantages in value are highlighted and lastly the action that generates more advantages is then selected to be morally right. It is characterized by the relevant consequences, impartiality and neutrality of the action as every person’s happiness is counted the same. The act and rule utilitarianism are its types and have been competing on which real should be followed. In act, what benefits the people more is the right morals despite their different feelings. However, the rule type acknowledges the justice, fairness and benefits a large number of people. Therefore the rule values the people feelings, their laws and the benefits. They both have problems in comparing the exact consequences value in money and happiness since they all differ. They believe in obligation to the society and not the act of being a heroine. Since it is consequences on choice, they tend to predict the future. However, act type will be favorable to one today and may be unfavorable the next day. The rule type on the other hand, is very instable on what is actually morally right. Utilitarianism can be objective in supporting the effect that the rightness of an activity is whether it would indeed encourage and promote the goodness of the already available acts to the agents. On the other side, it can take the form of subjective utilitarianism. It involves that when choosing an activity one should first determine which activities of those available would mostly promote the good more than the others, then chose that activity. Critics against utilitarianism It is difficult t assign value in money form to certain items and acts such as human life, happiness, pain, pleasure and more feelings (Pojman, 2004). They could be representing opposition’s ideas in the sense that someone’s pleasure could be another individual’s pain. This does make the comparison of values difficult for a person to choose what action will give a high better pleasure. The benefits and costs value may be underestimated or overestimated. This principle violates the human conscious acts and the different personal ideas in interest of more valuable advantages of an action. It’s like it gives us permission to do harm but specifically little harm in order to gain. In protest then, little or more harm is still harm, it never changes. Lying for the sake of saving more benefits represents an injustice to human kind. It does not promote justice but rules in favor of injustice. It is difficult to know how right an action is when the law seconds some offences committed with the excuse of the principle of utilitarianism. It does not follow the law guide thus can at all times be interchanged to commit evil. The integrity, reputation and image of a person are lost with utilitarianism ethics. The consequences of a lie for the sake of creating more profits to a company, kills the integrity that was taught of being present. Maintenance of reputation is not easy and therefore loosing the little you have will mean a slow start in creating another image. It does not encourage creativity and development of products and services as it tends to cut out considerations of new ideas generation. To other individual this is a difference making on what and how they feel. They argue that each one is responsible for what hey do and not the value of how they do it. An individual might be creative and willing to undertake his idea a step ahead and fulfill it, may not succeed at all if the majority umber do not support his idea. Therefore, a chance of having had to grow an idea in other people no matte how good it would have been, is lost because of this system. It relies entirely on a single principle of ethics thus an action committed could either produce best or worst consequences despite the argument that it will provide more benefits. Different principles in deciding what is right or wrong have to be used on a single action so as to make the solution effective and efficient. It uses the human being as means to an end of suitable action by only considering happiness and equating it as the main pleasure of a person. By only counting happiness, it encourages individuals to do the right things for an entire wrong reason. After all, they can justify the evil doing as their happiness. The theory also concentrate on a belief that human are common in nature thus desires same things. It discourages the individual’s tastes and preferences. Some people even appreciate more things than others who do not even take an account of the thing presence. Humans are very different in personalities and their goals also differ. Grouping them a sonly one group of nature, is not justice and happiness at all. It does not take into considerations the potential intention of an individual in carrying out an action. An individual could be fulfilling his evil motives on an individual but ends up defending himself using the utility benefits thus being set free and innocent. Every action should be accounted for legally so truth of right and wrong could be identified. A person stealing money and justifying it that it was to be used for a sick person medical expenses, might b lying or not. He might be a thief in the making. Critics in support of utilitarianism In human moral life, majority value the self sacrificial factor and happiness. Utilitarianism supports these morals in their decisions as some are sacrificed and the happiness of the people affected by the consequence mattering a lot (Mayer, 2009). An individual known for self sacrificial mostly promotes peace, loyalty and unity. If an organization is willing to sacrifice some items for the entire society benefits, it is received well and brings happiness which is the goal of utilitarianism. It promotes equality, impartiality, fairness and neutrality in all its decisions (Buckle, 2007). This is because to them no one deserves special treatment at the expense of another as they are all equal. A decision is basically made from everybody’s point of view with consideration of the majority. If the majority needs a company closed down, then that percentage would be a representation that every individual of that area wants the company closed. The consideration of the outcome of an activity is important. This theory is in support of knowing the consequences first before undertaking an action. The consequences received should be of great value that would not contribute to pain but joy. These would prepare the users to face the outcome with an open mind as they had been expecting it. They could be outcomes based on researches or people personal experiences. In addition, it aids in future planning of activities leading to enhancement of efficiency. This system is straightforward and direct in evaluation because it conveniently uses one denominator in its evaluation calculations. Therefore, it becomes easy in resolving conflict interests for straightforward answers to the decision. An easy way to resolve things is many people choice as many of them understand it, support it and ready to conceptualize into their daily activities. This ensures less money and minimal time spent in evaluations process. Nietzsche on ethical concept, background and theories He explained that the existence of structure theories is as a result of leaders who dominate their decisions over others. He argues that it is through self consciousness that one can determine the evil and the good with its both doers. He did not support the utilitarianism principle of ethics and argued that it placed too much emphasis on the large numbers of people instead of an individual that his personal welfare is lost to the general crowd. In addition, his other reason was that humans do things just to survive in this world even if they were unpleasant or unhappy. Utilitarianism show there is a wrong and a right but according to him this are the terms men use to interpret a situation or experience. He believes human will be motivated by to many thing snot only pleasure, happiness and pain. Aristotle ethical concepts, background and theories He showed that conduct depended on the role of an individual habit. He said that it was in between pleasures and pain that allowed one to choose which indeed was right or wrong. Being a business minded person, he advices that the root to fairness, justice and happiness is in asking questions. He does not uses utility in his work but stresses that the behavior of a person is what is reflected on his performance and goodness, thus supporting the theory of virtue of ethics and not consequences (History of Utilitarianism, 2009). He campaigned that happiness of a person could only be known after his life and thus could not be short termed using utilitarianism. Conclusions Utilitarianism should take into account that not only making people happy is a pleasure but also involving one in the success of the project, institution, a career and a cause to ensure that they are committed. Many people though support it because it is easy to use, they have practice of using it daily and it tends to avoid the divine revelation of living morally but outside the belief in a supernatural being. A person deciding should include other principles and theories of ethics that are likely to affect an action and determine if they are right or wrong. They could use principle of; virtue, moral right, egoism, deontological, justice and fairness and their emotions reflected in their feelings. This would give a wide reflection balance of the choice picked. In all the actions an individual undertakes from a selection, he should first weigh their goodness and badness and not necessarily through its money value alone. One should be able to know how the action would affect him, the law and the society. An evil action such as killing a corrupt leader for money should not be justified that it made everyone evil that had fallen into his corrupt evils.

Othello †where Imagery Abounds :: Othello essays

Othello – where Imagery Abounds  Ã‚        Ã‚  Ã‚   The playwright William Shakespeare included plentiful imagery in the tragedy Othello. In this essay we shall analyze and comment on what is offered in the play.    H. S. Wilson in his book of literary criticism, On the Design of Shakespearean Tragedy, discusses the influence of the imagery of the play:    It has indeed been suggested that the logic of events in the play and of Othello’s relation to them implies Othello’s damnation, and that the implication is pressed home with particular power in the imagery. This last amounts to interpreting the suggestions of the imagery as a means of comment by the author – the analogy would be the choruses of Greek tragedy. It is true that the play contains many references to â€Å"heaven and hell and devils.† as Wilson Knight has pointed out. But Mr. Knight has wisely refrained from drawing the conclusion that Shakespeare means thus to comment upon Othello’s ultimate fate. (66)    The vulgar imagery of the ancient dominate the opening of the play. Francis Ferguson in â€Å"Two Worldviews Echo Each Other† describes the types of imagery used by the antagonist when he â€Å"slips his mask aside† while awakening Brabantio:    Iago is letting loose the wicked passion inside him, as he does from time to time throughout the play, when he slips his mask aside. At such moments he always resorts to this imagery of money-bags, treachery, and animal lust and violence. So he expresses his own faithless, envious spirit, and, by the same token, his vision of the populous city of Venice – Iago’s â€Å"world,† as it has been called. . . .(132)    Standing outside the senator’s home late at night, Iago uses imagery within a lie to arouse the occupant: â€Å" Awake! what, ho, Brabantio! thieves! thieves! thieves! / Look to your house, your daughter and your bags!† When the senator appears at the window, the ancient continues with coarse imagery of animal lust: â€Å"Even now, now, very now, an old black ram / Is topping your white ewe,† and â€Å"you'll have your daughter covered with a Barbary horse; you'll have your nephews neigh to you; you'll have coursers for cousins and gennets for germans.† Brabantio, judging from Iago’s language, rightfully concludes that the latter is a â€Å"profane wretch† and a â€Å"villain.†    When Iago returns to the Moor, he resorts to violence in his description of the senator, saying that â€Å"nine or ten times / I had thought to have yerk'd him here under the ribs.

Tsarist Rule in the years 1856-1917 and Communist Rule from essays

Tsarist Rule in the years 1856-1917 and Communist Rule from essays Although we are looking at two different forms of government rule it can be perhaps suggested that there were similarities in these forms of government but it may also be suggested that fundamentally and ideologically they were completely different types of states. Both were centralist states, which were prepared to use totalitarian methods to rule over a vast, difficult to govern, state with its many different geographical and ethnic regions and enormous population. The Russian empire covered a sixth of the worlds land surface, with 12 different time zones and various ethnicities in which approximately 50 per cent of those were Slav this indeed created integration problems which of course made the country hard to govern. Perhaps we can assume because of this centralised control and government was required in order for the empire to be held together. The characteristics of both regimes were very important, Stalin developed his cult of personality and the Tsars ruled as absolute Monarchs. The Tsars were extremely autocratic, the supreme rulers of both church and state and answerable only to God. A period of reform started with Alexander II (1855-1881) with the hope of strengthening the monarchy but his successor Alexander III (1881-1894) turned back the clock, his reign saw a period of repression. His son Nicholas II (1894-1917) succeeded him, a conservative who was not suited to rule as an absolute monarch. I think that the diverse smaller nationalities within the Russian empire suffered under both regimes. The Tsar had a policy of a unified Russian empire (Russification) and integrated such countries as the Ukraine and Poland into the Russian empire but this indeed did cause the problem of a clash of ethnicities and with their integration into the Russian empire. The Russian language, Orthodox religion and Russian style of clothing were almost forced onto these states. This was seen as attack on their way of life and a ...

Public Opinion Survey Paper - Essay Example The research methods used in in this study to obtain public opinions would be the telephone survey method and the mail survey method. Telephone survey methods according to StatPac, Inc (p.1), are the quickest method of obatining information from a large sample of respondents that number approximately from 100 to 400. In this type of survey, the interviewer is guided by a prepaired questionnaire. Although the mail survey has almost the same featyres as the telephone survey, the differences are that the mail survey method does not permit any deeper probe on the expressed opinion and it usually takes the mail survey to be accomplished in 8 to 12 weeks. Twice longer than the telephone survey. The procedures used in the study is the telephone and mail survey methods. The questionnaire is composed of ten questions, which are in a simple and direct english language so as not to confuse the individual answering the questions. The most imporatant questions are placed at the first half of the questionnaire wherein sufficient space is also provided after each question, allowing other comments/opinions to be expressed. For the mail survey, the return addressed is printed on the questionnaire and a self-addressed postage paid stamp is sent along with the mail survey forms (StatPac, Inc., 1-2). Audience Analysis Paper Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words - 1

Audience Analysis Paper - Essay Example New initiatives will be of less importance to them as long as the company is delivering decent results. They do not understand lot of technical data and things must be simplified for their understanding. 2) Sales and Marketing people: These would be a group of individuals who are motivated by higher sales figures. They are the ones who understand the different ratios which are used to determine the solvency, stability, capital adequacy of the company. One can use complex financial and accounting terms easily and assume that this group will understand it. 3) Customers: This group is one of the most naive in terms of technicalities of business or any financial know-how. They are more concerned with the product or service which the company provides and whether in future will it continue to deliver the same? Then don’t need to understand the ratios but will be interested in if company is increasing its sales by selling more to existing customers, or selling to more number of custo mers. They understand the business, but are not savvy enough to understand the balance sheet and quarterly figures. What communication channels are appropriate? Since this is a formal meeting, there is a limitation to using audio or video communication channel. It is difficult to convey financial data by use of an AV. But a presentation can be made which is friendly to both financial savvy and non savvy people. A presentation will help people get a visual perspective of the financial standing of the company. Footnotes at the bottom of each slide may include a note on explaining the technical part. This will help the customers or stakeholders who are not financially sound to understand the presentation better. Jargons like solvency ratio, PE ratio and Capital can be explain in crisp and plain language at bottom of each slide to ensure the message goes across the board equally. While the power point slide show is on, I will also need to take care of speaking relevant things as per the slide show. I would prefer not to speak what is already there on the slide, but to just add small explanations to why and how aspect. I shall also throw some light as to how those figures were derived so that everyone is at same level. Last but not the least; I would have a more discussion based approach than a monologue. This will ensure full participation by the attendees and their full attention to what is being presented. What are some considerations to keep in mind given the diversity of audience? Every individual come from a different background and hence they do not understand sales figures and financial information equally Expectation of each group of individual is different from the quarterly sales figure presentation. Customers will expect to see more sales and new initiatives, investors will seek better financial ratios and sales force will look for more profitability for better bonus Use of financial jargons should be judicially used as everyone might not understand the m To maintain the interest of such a varied group, creativity in presenting will help maintain the much needed interest of the audience. Financial sales data presentation otherwise may become very monotonous and fail to communicate properly How do you ensure your message is effective? The following care needs to be take to ensure the effectiveness of the message Use of power point slide
