Web Site Promotion Essay -- essays research papers fc
Promoting a World Wide Web Site à à à à à As we enter the new millenium, more and more businesses are deciding to go along with building what is called sites on the world wide web, better known as a web site. It seems as though these days to many people is that all you have to do is build a web site and you are set to go. Being as upfront as possible there is an extreme downside to this method. Just building the web site will not bring anybody to the web site. To get people to visit a web site certain processes have to be taken to promote the web site. There are numerous ways out there to promote a web site. One very common and successful way to bring visitors to a web site is to send out direct electronic mail or commonly known as email. This is a very simple process in general. It simply consists of sending out emails at random or premeditated if you have the time. The emails need to contain a short paragraph describing a little about your web site and what it has to offer to those who visit the web site. Remember that with this method it is wise to not be too wordy otherwise this process can develop to be very time consuming and irritating to the sender and the receiver of the email. However it is possible to email well over 10,000 emails in just under an hour. This process can only be done if everything has been thought out thoroughly and ready to go before the process has even begun. Another possible advantage to this method is that the recipient of the email may enjoy the site and forward the same email to people that they know. Emails also cost nothing if there is already access t o the World Wide Web through an ISP (Internet Service Provider). This method is the most commonly used and it can and does work (ââ¬Å"7 Waysâ⬠). A very similar way but much less direct method is simply to attach a signature to the end of outgoing emails. Most email providers offer this option. It simply means that at the end of outgoing email that is sent out there will be a message of individual choice at the bottom of the email where a signature would normally be on a hand written letter, thus giving it the name signature. What the message says is entirely up to the sender of the email. It is recommended that more than one signature be provided to pertain to different types of people that are emailed. The message should include your web site name, addre... ...rticle, a radio program, a newspaper, etc. Just about anything that is seen or heard by a lot of people (Kent 339). The web site promoters can also offer what is known as an affiliate program. This allows viewers of the web site a chance to carry a banner from the web site on their web site. In return offer a small commission for each person that visits the web site through the link applied on their web site. As the days go bye more and more people will have their own web site. Along with more people having a web site comes more ways to promote a web site in due time. It is always a good idea to keep up with the modern ways of promotion. Works Cited Kent, Peter. An Analysis Of Cousin Kate And The Seduction Essay
The title sounds like a woman is talking about her ââ¬Å"Cousin Kateâ⬠and not especially about herself. Itââ¬â¢s like her side of the story in the poem. The poem is about a lady in about the 1814 (the olden times). She falls in love with a rich person who sounds like the king which says here ââ¬Å"Why did a great lord find me outâ⬠and then he flatters and uses her to the point where she is pregnant and has a child. This part from the poem shows that a rich person or so a king found her and abused her when she thought he really truly loved her but no he did not. ââ¬Å"He changed me like a gloveâ⬠. Then she praises her cousin about her looks and her wealth too. She says ââ¬Å"You grew more fair I:â⬠â⬠¦ ââ¬Å"Because you so good and pureâ⬠She then talks bout how true her love was and Kateââ¬â¢s wasnââ¬â¢t and she wants to spit in her ex lords face because she did not like him for his money or his land just because it was true love. ââ¬Å"O cousin Kate my love was true, And your love was writ in sand:â⬠This tells us that the Lord probably chose her cousin Kate because she was beautiful and because she was from a wealthy family and not then narrator because she says she was not that wealthy â⬠¦ ââ¬Å"Call me an outcast thing, Even so I sit an howl in dustâ⬠â⬠¦ At then she goes on to talking about her son which I think she had mentioned before in the poem were it says ââ¬Å"So now I moan, an unclean thingâ⬠as if she did not want a child but now I think she is pleased with having a special gift which is her child and then she goes on to saying that her cousin Kate will never get what she has got because she never destined to get it. It says in the poem ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢ve got a gift you have not got, And seem not like to get: â⬠¦ Iââ¬â¢ve little doubt you fret. My fair haired son my shame, my prideâ⬠â⬠¦ So she does not regret anything that has happened. She criticises her sister a little throughout the poem and is always saying she made a mistake but she got the best out of it like her fair headed son. Seduction means to seduce which means to lead astray and then tempt them into a sin or crime which the whole poem is based on. The poem is about a girl who gets persuaded by a handsome boy that he is the one for her and she can trust him fully. In the poem it says ââ¬Å"She had nodded, quite enchantedâ⬠â⬠¦ ââ¬Å"so she fell in loveâ⬠so she thinks that he has chosen her or she is the one for him. Later in this poem she finds out that she is 3 months gone in other terms three months pregnant with her x boyfriendââ¬â¢s baby. ââ¬Å"When she discovered she was three months goneâ⬠She is frightened and very scared and the poem tells ââ¬Å"And realised, for once, that she was truly truly frightenedâ⬠She hates her life so much that she would rather take drugs than live in this hell that she has made by herself trusting some boy she had met at the party. She tells us that she wants to take drugs by ââ¬Å"But then again better to be smoking scented drugsâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬ From that moment on her life lead her into a totally different path. She talks about her bright and colourful past which she can remember very clearly and wants to go back where she was with her friends in different places lie Blackpool by saying ââ¬Å"Where were the glossy photographs of summer, Day trips to Blackpool, jumping all the rides?â⬠so thatââ¬â¢s why she wants to go back into her lively past. This poem shows how life can be sometimes and that you can never trust it. It shows her experiences with a lovely, gorgeous boy (what she thinks of him) and after how she is completely shattered. ââ¬Å"With fingers that stroked her neck and thighsâ⬠â⬠¦ to ââ¬Å"she cried that she had missed all her innocence around herâ⬠so that shows you what the narrator felt and was like from her past to her present. This poem might make boys seem bad and horrible but all boys are normally not like that and that girls always fall into a trap but sometimes they donââ¬â¢t from what it says in the poem like ââ¬Å"All the parties where youââ¬â¢d meet the boy next door, Where you walk hand in hand, in an acneââ¬â¢d wonderland,â⬠â⬠¦ This shows that she remembers the past and its like she cusses it and that she doesnââ¬â¢t want it to happen again like its going to happen again.

The concepts of home and family comprise key components of home economics for a very long time. When home economics programs began to take shape in US economic and social climate was considered dull. To achieve sustainable and optimal living for individuals and community home economics draws from a range of other disciplines. While the historical contexts revolved around home and family, this extended in the 21st century to include wider environments in terms of choices, capacities, and individual priorities. Margaret Justin the 1929 president of AHEA said that there were two camps or movements in home economics in the US Western (land grant univ) and Eastern. Explain what she meant by this (20 Points)What Margaret Justin meant by this was that there were the land-granted universities as a result of the Morrill Act of1862 and the eastern which did not have land to be evaluated as soon as possible.
